The City of Liberal provides the following benefits for full-time (40 hours per week) employees.
Vacation Leave - Employees accrue vacation leave based on their number of years of service.
Sick Leave - Regular Full-time employees accrue 6 days a year.
Holidays - The City provides 12 paid holidays.

Wellness Program - A wellness program complete with an annual flu shot for all employees and free membership to local fitness centers.
Performance Pay Increases - Employees have an opportunity for a pay increase based on annual performance reviews.
Life Insurance - Life insurance in the amount of 150% of the employee’s annual salary is provided through KPERS. As well as 30,000 lifr snd snother $30,000 AD&D through Advance Life Insurance at no cost to the employee.
Optional Group Life Insurance - Optional group life insurance is available to employees who would like to purchase addition life coverage.
AFLAC Insurance - Additional optional insurance is available to employees, including cancer, accident, short-term disability, and other plans.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - The EAP provides confidential, professional consultation for assistance in resolving personal issues. This free service is available to full- and regular part-time employees beginning on their first day of employment. Employees may voluntarily seek the services of the EAP as needed.
Flexible Spending Accounts – Full time employees are eligible to participate in Medical and Dependent Care Spending Accounts.
