Fire Fighter I - City of Coffeyville

The City of Coffeyville is
seeking applications for the position of Firefighter. Position duties
include but are not limited to responding to fire alarms, medical and emergency
calls, operating all types of fire operation and rescue equipment.
Must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States. Must have at least high school diploma or
equivalent, no felony convictions with a driving record that meets City's
insurance qualifications. Firefighter I and II and EMT certification
desired but not required. Screening will include written test, background
investigation, strenuous physical agility test (will accept current CPAT),
psychological exam, and pre-employment medical physical that includes back x-ray and drug screen.
Firefighter starting pay is from $12.80 - $17.42 per hour depending upon qualifications.
Firefighters work 24 hours on, 48 hours off.
Typical work is 121 shifts per year plus holidays resulting in a starting wage of $38,809 plus overtime opportunities. Additional built in pay steps are also available. Applicants must be willing to meet the City of Coffeyville residency requirement
and live in the State of Kansas and within 25 miles of 7th & Walnut and be
