USDA Mutual Self Help Housing Group Coordinator - City of Coffeyville

The City of Coffeyville has an opening for USDA Mutual Self Help Housing Group Coordinator. This position is responsible for: the recruitment of applicants for the USDA Mutual Self Help Housing Program, including community outreach, intake of applications and credit screening, loan packaging, maintenance of accounting records by family; holding pre-construction meetings with families, assisting new homebuilders with selecting plans and color schemes; acting as a liaison between the City of Coffeyville and Rural Development. Successful candidate will be able to: format reports and keep records; format and organize correspondence, reports and written directives; utilize professional telephone and office etiquette; knowledge of computer and general office machinery operations; experience with Word, Excel and accounting.

Pay for this position is $18.20/hour. Previous experience with federal grant programs, experience in housing, or accounting experience is preferred. Must pass background and credit check in addition to pre-employment physical. Applicants must be willing to meet the City of Coffeyville residency requirement to reside within a fifty mile radius of City Hall at 102 W. 7th St., Coffeyville, Kansas.
