The City of Coffeyville is seeking applications for the position of City Clerk. Responsibilities include a wide variety of responsible and complex administrative duties: maintain custody of official records of city; coordinate public notifications; prepare agenda and attend all meetings of City Commission and maintain records of these meetings; update and maintain city website and public TV channel; maintain city social media sites; custodian of city-owned cemetery records; issue municipal licenses. Position requires evening hours to cover meetings. Ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as position involves extensive public contact; attention to detail; ability to multi-task while still delivering excellent customer service; have five years increasingly responsible administrative support experience, including accounting and supervisory responsibilities. Proficient with Word, Publisher, Excel and other software applications. Screening will include background investigation, physical exam and drug screen.
Salary dependent upon qualifications. Applicants must be willing to meet the City's residency requirement to live in the State of Kansas and within forty-five miles of City Hall, 102 W. 7th Street, Coffeyville. Applications accepted until position filled. EOE
