The City of Coffeyville is seeking an Apprentice Stormwater Utility Worker to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the operation, construction, repair and maintenance of the Stormwater utility systems and provide technical assistance as a member of a utility crew. Successful candidate will: participate in operational activities of the Stormwater utility system; operate a variety of equipment, hand tools, safety equipment and computers; participate in the production and maintenance of Stormwater maps; maintain various logs of maintenance and repair activities; perform regular testing of equipment, machinery and Stormwater pump stations.

Education and training should include equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade and demonstration of the ability to obtain appropriate certifications included in any Stormwater apprentice program adopted by the City of Coffeyville, within the timeframes established by the City of Coffeyville. Additional licensing and requirements include possession of, or ability to obtain the following: valid Kansas commercial driver's license, valid competent person certification in confined space and Certified Stormwater Inspector Certification from the National Stormwater Center within one year.   Starting salary is based on experience and training, starting at $17.64-$20.48/hr.
