Director of Public Works - Professional Engineer - City of Coffeyville

The City of Coffeyville is seeking a Director of Public Works - Professional Engineer with a proven track record of heading large scale building projects successfully. As an engineer, it will be your duty to work with your team from the design process through building completion and to improve the way the state’s roads are built, drained and maintained, as well as the opportunity to direct the future of water and wastewater services for our area. If you want to enhance our area’s network of highways and roads, this may be your perfect chance.  Responsibilities include project site visits; supervision of large scale projects; collaboration with project management teams during every phase of design; calculations of supplies, materials, labor and time for budget planning; surveying of building sites including grade and elevation; researching potential environmental impacts and risk assessments; writing detailed project timelines, summaries, reports, requests for proposal; following relevant federal, state, local and industry guidelines and standards. 

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and State Professional Engineer's License.  Preferred qualifications include Master's Degree in Engineering, with three or more years' experience in infrastructure management, road and highway design.  Valid Driver's License is required along with clean driving record. 

Salary range from $150,000-$200,000/year including excellent benefit package including medical and dental coverage, sick leave, vacation, KPERS retirement and more.
