Seasonal Fiber Technician - City of Coffeyville

The City of Coffeyville is seeking a seasonal Fiber Optic Technician to join our team. This person will assist with the installation and upkeep of the fiber optic network, learn to connect and trouble shoot the fiber optic system under the guidance of experienced technicians utilizing basic fiber optic tools, aid in basic wiring for internet connections, learn to identify and resolve simple issues with direct supervision, may assist technicians working from a bucket, aid in setting up basic fiber optic network equipment at homes and businesses.

Ideal candidate will have an aptitude for technical learning, basic understanding of hand tools and their safe operation, follow directions and safety protocols, communicate clearly with team members and members of the public, and have a valid Driver's License.

Wage for this position is $14.00/hr. This is a seasonal position with no benefits. Applicants must be willing to meet the City of Coffeyville residency requirement to reside within a fifty mile radius of City Hall at 102 W. 7th St., Coffeyville, Kansas.
