Electric Generation Operator Intern - City of Coffeyville

The City of Coffeyville is seeking a seasonal Electric Generation Operator Intern to join our team. This person will participate in the operation, maintenance and repair of electric generation facilities; monitor related boiler functions, pumps and fans as required; perform tests on equipment including oil pumps, extractions, and auxiliary equipment; adjust boilers, switch breakers and monitor systems as required; operate various equipment and ensure adherence to safe work practices.

Ideal candidate will have an aptitude for technical learning, basic understanding of hand tools and their safe operation, follow directions and safety protocols, communicate clearly with team members and members of the public, and have a valid Driver's License.

Wage for this position is $15.00/hr. This is a seasonal position with no benefits. Applicants must be willing to meet the City of Coffeyville residency requirement to reside within a fifty-mile radius of City Hall at 102 W. 7th St., Coffeyville, Kansas.
