 This is an exciting time for Park City and a great career opportunity for You! With the opening of our new state-of-art Senior Center and multipurpose community facility, we are seeking an experienced, energetic and forward-thinking professional to serve as our Senior Center Director.

This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the Senior Center and its programs.

Position Overview

The Senior Center Director oversees senior programming, congregate and home-delivered meal services, SHICK senior health insurance counseling, facility scheduling and rentals, staff and volunteer supervision, budgeting, and community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and expand programs and services for older adults, including recreational, educational, wellness, and social activities
  • Oversee congregate meals and Meals on Wheels programs
  • Supervise the Congregate Site Manager/Nutrition Coordinator, staff, and volunteers
  • Maintain SHICK certification and provide Medicare counseling
  • Manage scheduling and rentals of the multipurpose facility
  • Develop and administer the Senior Center budget
  • Foster partnerships with community organizations and pursue grants

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, gerontology, social services, , recreation management or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in senior services, community programming, or municipal operations
  • Supervisory experience
  • Valid Kansas driver’s license
  • SHICK certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of employment
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Passion for serving older adults and growing community programs
