POSITION TITLE:

Full time Paramedic or AEMT

Compensation hourly pay, Benefits package. 24-hour shifts with overtime.

Reports to:               Emergency Services and Management Director or Deputy Chief of Operations

Employees Supervised/Directed:       None

 POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

Certified Paramedic or AEMT perform duties associated with providing emergency medical care to the sick and injured in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and City of Halstead Fire/EMS protocols and policies. This is a skilled emergency response position with general responsibilities to provide emergency medical care in pre-hospital, trauma, or accident settings, provide care and medical transport for patients to medical facilities, provide basic and advanced life support care and first aid to patients as needed, communicate with other medical personnel regarding patient care, and complete and maintain accurate forms, records, and paperwork as required.
