Starting Wage: $10.84/hr (Full-time, Summer Seasonal – non-benefit eligible)

1) Ensures the safety of the driving public and fellow employees in and around construction or work zones by setting up traffic control devices and performing work zone traffic control; 2) Performs mowing operations along County public roads; 3) Operates various types of machinery on construction projects; 4) Works with hand tools while assisting in the maintenance of County roads and drainage structures, and 5) other duties as assigned.

Applicants must legally be able to operate a four wheel drive vehicle, both on & off the road. Additionally, must be able to lift 50-75 pounds. Work starts mid-May and ends mid-to late August. Actual dates may vary.

For positions requiring a driver’s license, please note that having and maintaining a clean driving record is also required. A “clean” record is defined as: No misdemeanor or felony convictions for traffic/vehicular offenses (such as but not limited to DUI, vehicular homicide, reckless driving, hit and run, etc.) that are less than five (5) years old; no more than two (2) at fault or chargeable accidents that are less than five (5) years old; no more than two (2) traffic infractions (such as but not limited to speeding, failure to yield right of way, etc.) that are less than one year old.
