PT Police Dispatcher - City of Coffeyville

The City of Coffeyville is seeking applications for the position of part-time Police Dispatcher. $12.00/hour training wage. Position duties include providing emergency and general service to the public, receiving and dispatching calls and performing a variety of technical and clerical tasks in support of department. Qualified applicants must have good computer skills, be detail oriented, have a high tolerance to stress and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
There is a written test that applicants must successfully complete in order to be considered. Flexible work schedule with a minimum of 8 hrs/week (Sunday day shift) and occasionally 16-24 hours per week. Successful applicants will need to be available to work 40 hrs/week during initial training of approximately 8 weeks and successfully achieve NCIC, Emergency Medical & Fire Dispatch, through the International Academies of Priority Dispatch, IPAWS, IC100, and IC700 certifications. Pay will increase to $13.00/hour upon NCIC certification.
Applicants must be willing to meet the City of Coffeyville residency requirement and reside within State of Kansas and within 25 miles of 7th & Walnut in Coffeyville and be able to respond to work within 40 minutes of call.
