Program Specialist II - Harvey County

Under the general supervision of the Road and Bridge superintendent, this position is responsible for the administration of bridge construction projects, bridge inspection data analysis, material quantity calculations, and assisting in the design, coordinate, and inspection of road and bridge construction projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: 

• Oversee the administration of contracted projects
• Identify infrastructure needs and design solutions
• Required permit acquisitions and administration
• Communicate clearly with contractors, ensuring compliance to specifications
• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and proper procedures
• Perform simple surveys checking elevations and illustrate profiles
• Ensure compliance with engineer's recommendations for structural repair and scour prevention on bridges. 

Required Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or four-to-five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and/or Experience: Masters degree or equivalent, or four-to-five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
