Park City supports our officers, offers hiring incentives (non-certified $2,750, certified $10,000), competitive wages, shift differentials (second shift .50 per hour, third shift .75 per hour) and an exceptional benefit package.
Pay and Hiring Bonus (Non-Certified Officers)
Starting Pay
o $19.00 per hour
o 2% increase in starting pay for prior military experience
o 1% increase in starting pay for an Associate's Degree
o 1% increase in pay for a Bachelor's Degree
Hiring Bonus
o $2,750 hiring bonus
o $500 paid upon first paycheck
o $750 paid upon KLETC graduation
o $1500 paid upon completion of Field Training Program
Pay and Hiring Bonus (Certified Officers)
Starting Pay
o $19.63 to $28.93 per hour depending upon qualifications (police experience, military, education)
Hiring Bonus
o $10,000 hiring bonus
o $5,000 paid upon completion of Field Training Program
o $5,000 paid upon completion of 6-month anniversary

To be considered for employment as a Park City Police Officer, an applicant must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a valid Kansas driver’s license
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Complete a Personal History Statement (Form available on the Park City Website https://www.parkcityks.gov/DocumentCenter/View/2281/Personal-History-Questions?bidId= )
- Be able to pass an extensive background investigation, polygraph, medical exam, and drug screen.
