Summary: Responsible for Motor Vehicle operation and functioning, works closely with State Department of Revenue and oversees resolution of customer issues and complaints. Balance motor vehicle, tag refund accounts, and cash receipts on a daily basis. Assist Appraiser's office on vehicle tax questions. Respond to Motor Vehicle Clerk questions and issues that arise.

Must have ability to communicate with customers and co-workers, answer questions and explain information. Attention to detail is essential. Must possess strong computer skills that include Microsoft Office Suite products including Word and Excel. Ability to type with accuracy. Display office professionalism. Confidentiality a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and supervise the training, data collection, quality control review of data management.
- Maintain and update filing, mailing, database systems, records, either manually or using a computer related to update records, and changes.
- Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address questions.
- Enforce and maintain compliance with state protocol and guidance.
- Enforce department policies and procedures.
- Prepare and review operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency for Department Head or Director.
- Analyze internal processes and recommend and implement procedural or policy changes to improve operations, such as supply changes or the disposal of records.
- Assist with planning and administration of budgets for contracts, equipment and supplies.
- May have responsibility for guiding and overseeing the work of other employees.
- Close down computers, office machines, lock money drawers and deposit cash in vault.
- Provide oversight and quality control for Motor Vehicle funds, count and handle money, receipt money from customers, and balance cash in drawers from Motor Vehicle on a daily basis.
- Prepare daily report for Department of Revenue and Treasurer.
- Perform other routine duties such as data entry, refunds, daily deposits, mailings, balance books, filing, typing, correspondence, preparing bulk mail, records management and scanning.
- Run routine reports for inventory credit cards, and individual drawers.
- Respond to routine inquiries from telephone callers and visitors. Direct information to other departments if necessary, and review documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper signatures.
- Serve as Title Approver on the state vehicle system.

Required Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent from two year-college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Capable of being bonded upon hire
Capable of being bonded for Notary Public (within 3 months)
Must pass the MOVRS (Motor Vehicle Registration Solution) course within first 6 months or whenever offered by State
The ATMM (Account Transaction Money Manager) course and exam within first 6 months or whenever offered by State
